1. Agreement to Terms

By installing and using the Pollen for LinkedIn Chrome Extension (“Pollen”, “we”, “our”, “the extension”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you should not install or use the extension.

2. Service Description

Pollen is a Chrome extension that enhances LinkedIn profiles by allowing users to:

– Add personal notes to LinkedIn connections

– Create and manage tags for organizing connections

– Set reminders for follow-ups

– Store connection context information

– Optionally sync data with Google Sheets

3. User Responsibilities

When using Pollen, you agree to:

– Use the extension in compliance with LinkedIn’s terms of service

– Not attempt to reverse engineer or modify the extension

– Not use the extension to collect or store sensitive personal information

– Not use the extension for any illegal purposes

– Maintain the security of your Google account if using sync features

– Not share access to your synced Google Sheets with unauthorized users

4. Data Storage and Sync

Local Storage

By default, all data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining your device’s security. Uninstalling the extension will permanently delete all locally stored data.

Google Sheets Sync (optional)

The Google Sheets Sync feature requires Google account authentication. You maintain full control over synced data in your Google Sheets, and you are responsible for managing access to your synced Google Sheets. We are not responsible for data loss or unauthorized access to your Google Sheets.

5. Intellectual Property

Pollen and its original content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The extension’s code, design, and functionality remain our property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the extension except through the Chrome Web Store.

6. Limitations of Use

The Pollen for LinkedIn Chrome extension:

– Should not be used to scrape or bulk collect LinkedIn data

– Cannot be modified or repackaged

– Should not be used in conjunction with automated browsing tools

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The extension is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not responsible for:

– Data loss due to browser/extension crashes

– Conflicts with other extensions

– Changes to LinkedIn’s website that may affect functionality

– Issues with Google Sheets sync

– Your device’s security or performance

8. Limitation of Liability

We shall not be liable for any:

– Direct, indirect, or consequential damages

– Loss of data or privacy breaches on your device

– Issues arising from Google Sheets integration

– Problems caused by internet connectivity

– Conflicts with other software or extensions

9. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to:

– Modify or discontinue features

– Update the extension as needed

– Change these terms with notice

– Require version updates for continued use

10. Account Termination

We may terminate access to this extension and/or its functionality if you:

– Violate these terms

– Abuse the service

– Engage in unauthorized data collection

– Attempt to circumvent security measures

11. Third-Party Services

LinkedIn

We are not affiliated with LinkedIn in any way. Changes to LinkedIn may affect extension functionality. You must comply with LinkedIn’s terms of service.

Google Services

Google Sheets sync requires accepting Google’s terms. We are not responsible for Google service availability. Google account security is your responsibility.

12. Updates and Changes

The extension may be updated automatically. Terms may be updated with notice given on our website and via social media channels; continued use after updates constitutes acceptance. Changes will be noted with updated dates.

13. Support and Contact

Support is provided on a best-effort basis via email and social media. Response times are not guaranteed.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable laws without regard to conflicts of law principles.

15. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms stay in effect. By using Pollen, you acknowledge reading and agreeing to these terms.
